Details
DescriptionThe timber framed, metal clad lighthouse was originally established in Canberra Terrace in 1896 on land previously owned by Robert Bulcock Snr. It was the first lighthouse to be built in Caloundra and guided Moreton Bay shipping until 1968 when it was replaced by a new signal tower and lighthouse. The old lighthouse was relocated to Woorim Park, Golden Beach in 1970 and returned to its original site on Canberra Terrace in 1999 for heritage reasons.
